Avnet adds AWS Solutions to Cloud Marketplace

Avnet Inc. has announced that it now offers solutions powered by Amazon Web Services Inc.
The company claims that its platform provides cloud solution wares from multiple best in-breed suppliers. This allows customers to combine software and infrastructure into a single offering and compare multiple providers to find the right solution.
Its technology solutions categories include backup and disaster recovery services, productivity and collaboration as well as app hosting and management and software development.
The company released a statement last week saying that the Avnet Cloud Marketplace offers integrated, packaged solutions powered AWS such as backup and disaster relief solutions that integrate NetApp, Veritas, and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), and collaboration solutions that one-click deploy AWS resources that are configured to support a scalable, redundant SharePoint implementation.
Avnet stated that the marketplace’s integrated solutions were packaged and ready to be channel-ready. They are aligned with customers’ preferences for how they want to pay cloud services, including subscription- and consumption-based payment models. Partner can also deploy branded storefronts quickly to offer cloud services with their own IP and services.
Terry Wise, AWS executive, stated that Avnet’s solution-driven strategy and AWS’s highly reliable and scalable platform allow Avnet’s channel partners the ability to deliver enterprise-class packaged products to their customers. Avnet Cloud Marketplace makes it easier and quicker for channel partners to provide Avnet’s packaged solutions to customers.
