AWS Acquires Redshift-Focused Startup DataRow Amazon Web Services has acquired DataRow. Their flagship product, DataRow, is a Web-based client to the Amazon Redshift cloud-based data warehouse. Can Abacigil, DataRow’s Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, announced the acquisition on DataRow’s Web site as well as LinkedIn. Abacigil pointed out that DataRow was the first startup to be acquired in Turkey by AWS. DataRow was originally known as TeamSQL in 2016. In 2019, DataRow was rebranded as TeamSQL to make it more focused on Amazon Redshift. Its flagship product is a SQL client that was specifically designed and built to work with Amazon Redshift. The DataRow client, which is targeted at data scientists, simplifies the process of creating charts from Redshift query data. It allows users to share their data easily with collaborators by integrating with Slack or Microsoft Teams. The Notebook tool allows users to create a workspace and analyze data using Python or R.
